Lost count of the hours
3300 delicas in the body of this piece, 88 strands of fringe, lord knows how many hours because I lost track, and now it all comes down to connect the dots. Now I know I'm NUTS!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry bout the glare, definatly not a sales ready photo.
Nine years ago a suburban white chick married a Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Indian. Eight years later she finally gave in and began working with beads and a loom. The first piece I made was a Pow Mia patch in delica beads. Since then I have expanded to working peyote and brick stitch as well and now make amulet bags, earrings, pendants etc... I work both traditional Native American style as well as modern eclectic. If it strikes my fancy, I make it. I call myself a reformed bookworm. Now on my lunch breaks instead of sitting and reading a book that I had to pay for I sit and bead items that people pay me for.
